Closantel is a salicylanilide which is used for the treatment and control of adult and immature flukes, nematodes and larval stages of some arthropods. Closantel is indicated for the treatment of cattle and sheep and is administered subcutaneously in the dose range of 2.5 to 5 mg/kg body weight.
