This bacterium is one of the normal microbial flora of sheep that some factors such as overeating and changes in diet in fresh and juicy forage due to lack of preparedness of rumen microflora and subsequently the arrival of large amounts of carbohydrates from rations or milk to the intestines cause the proliferation of Clostridium perfringens bacteria and infestation of this bacterium into the primary parts of the small intestine. With the high proliferation of this bacterium, high amounts of toxins are produced, which by the effect of intestinal enzymes becomes a terrified toxin that causes clinical signs and death of livestock
